We are very excited to share that Lael Cakes will be offering baking and decorating classes at Haven’s Kitchen. Our first class will be held this May 19th at 1 pm. During this class Emily of Lael Cakes will demonstrate the basics of making a layered vegan and gluten-free cake. Using a variety of alternative ingredients and in-house recipes that she has developed over the last decade, Emily will cover methods of substituting refined sugars, saturated fats and dairy. This session will also showcase Lael Cakes unique blend of non-gluten flours for the perfect replacement to traditional pastry flour. Emily will show students not only how to mix and bake a delectable vegan and gluten-free cake but will also demonstrate how to whip up the perfect icing to fill and decorate your cake.
